Couples Therapy with Professional Expertise
When you come to me for couples therapy, you can expect a professionally grounded approach. Every relationship is different, and therefore I draw on a broad range of training and therapeutic perspectives, allowing the process to be tailored specifically to you.
In 2025, I completed my training as a Practical Couples Therapist, an evidence-based approach developed by Danish couples therapist Maj Wismann. The approach does not rely on one particular therapeutic method, but instead draws on the broader body of knowledge and research on relationships – including what helps couples thrive, what can create challenges, and what can lead to lasting change.
Drawing on my own bicultural background and a Master's degree in Migration Studies, I also bring a deep understanding of the challenges that can arise in a relationship when couples migrate or when partners come from different cultural backgrounds.
In therapy, we work together to clarify what kind of relationship you want and what it will take for you to achieve it. You will learn to develop new patterns of communication and to have conversations that foster mutual understanding and strengthen your emotional connection.
My aim is to create a warm and safe space where you both feel heard and respected. Through this, I hope to help you rediscover the love and respect that originally brought you together, and give you the tools to navigate future challenges together.
